- How did it feel to watch your own performance? Overall I felt good to watch it and it was nice to get it over with. I saw some things that could have been done better and I took that into mind.
- How did it feel to assess yourself using the rubric? I feel like I'm usually a bit harder on myself than the teacher would be, but overall an expectable grade.
- What are you most proud of with this speech? I'm most proud of choosing a fairly mature topic and going in depth about it.
- What was the most challenging part of this speech? When going over my speech I ended with a 2 minute and 20 second time, but when I actually did my speech I finished with a 1 minute and 58 seconds. It was challenging to talk in a slow calm manner while doing the actual presentation.

Reflecting On the Podcast
- What are you most proud of with this podcast? I am very proud of the amount of time and effort that I put into the podcast planning and the actual podcast. It was pretty difficult to tie in smooth transitions with the research that I put in but after many attempts, I feel like my final product was at the best of my ability.
- What was the biggest challenge with the podcast ? My biggest challenge was planning it out and writing the script. I had a lot of bumps and I even had to change my entire angle but it became for the better.
- What do you wish had more time to fine tune? I wish I had more time to record because when recording I felt rushed to get the project done.
- What unintended learning did you discover? I didn't think that a podcast was structured very specifically, but now with the different steps I know that good bridges make the podcast better.
- How did the interviews go? How did you build rapport with your interviewees? Share an excerpt from an interview? My interview did really well. When the interviewee becolmes comfortable, you are able to get more information out of them. During the conclusion of the interview when I asked the question, "Is there anything else you'd like to add?" I feel like my interviewee, Isabella, loosened up. Her opinion got more clear and she explained her idea on politics in school very well.
- How successful were you listening closely during interviews and asking thoughtful follow up questions? Share an except from an interview. I feel like I asked some good follow up questions that made the interview sound more like a conversation. When I was interviewing Justin, I asked him. "Do you think there are more arguments or debates about politics in school?" He responded with "It's really just arguments from what I've seen and experienced, because kids haven't matured enough at our age to really understand the meaning of a solid debate." I replied with, " If other kids argue with you, would you argue back or would you try to settle things down?" He responded with. "Everyone want to settle things down, but sometimes impulse takes over and the argument just erupts."

RLA 1st Quarter Reflection
1) What have you improved on in RLA so far
I feel like my author craft has improved and I can fit things in with a somewhat smooth touch, since my author craft has improved, I also notice craft moves while I'm reading and that helps me understand the story better. Before I developed this skill some books were confusing, because I didn’t really get the full meaning and message so having this skill makes reading more enjoyable.
2) What could you improve. I need to improve on adding more reflection to my essay to help the reader understand what I am thinking. If the reader has a good idea of what I was thinking in the beginning of the story and what I was thinking at the end of the story than my character change is obvious and my writing piece would have change.
3) What is your goal for improvement though the year. My goal is to become a better writer overall and incorporate what I learned in class to my writing pieces. This will make them more successful and fluent when writing and will automatically cover most if not all the objectives on the rubric.

All About that W
“Line Up!” It was 4:15, 45 minutes before game time and the evening sun was upon us. “Down to the right, ready begin.”
We all had to do various stretches for 10 seconds each. Running half speed plays was a good way to get in rhythm before the game, before I knew it the National Anthem was about to begin. Everybody was standing, the Singapore and the American flag waving with the wind and the heat waves were appearing from close by indicating that the heat was most definitely there.
The whistle blew, than the short burst of “butterflies” fell upon me. I took the field on defence first lining up as a cornerback. Multiple drives were exchanged before something was able to get going.
“Down set… Hike!”
The play was off, carefully but quickly I was trying to read what was going on. Before I knew it the ball came my way. “Interception! Picked off my number 15 on the Falcons.” With a run back of 20 yards and a set up of great field position for my team, I was hyped. A few plays later we scored and the snowball had started rolling. The next drive I came down with another pick, making the first half a breeze for my team and I.
Everybody was exhausted, we had all felt like we played a whole game. Us and the other team inclusive were all laying on the ground, but after I caught my breath I thought it would be smart to practice and get some reps in. I needed to look over the playbook and also tell coach about any adjustments the other team made.
We got back on the field and we could tell the other team turned it around at their half break. The second half became a shootout and shootouts really make the players tired especially if they were in every play, offence and defence. The team was getting lazy and bigger plays started appearing for the other team. It was time for a pep talk.
“Come on! We have to stop them out there. They are running all over us.” I yelled. It was very apparent that things were falling apart. A few drives later they were well back in the game, one of which was my fault. They flipped the ball out to my side of the field and the running back burnt everybody except for me. I quickly pursued him and tried to hit him out of bounds instead of performing the traditional tackle which costed our team a touchdown. My coach gave me an earful about that one. All my anger from that mistake went into intensity. The next drive we were on, I got the defence pumped up and it looked like the energy transferred to the offence.
“Touchdown Falcons!”
We were one score ahead and on the last play of the game they still had an enormous opportunity to send this into overtime.
“One more play!” I yelled
“Down… set… hike!”
“Pass, Pass.”
When the ball left the quarterbacks arms it all felt like slow motion and what felt like a minute after the throw the announcer said
“And it's picked off!”
Instant relief rushed through my body. It came down to the wire, but all that mattered is that we got the W.

RLA Blurb
14 year old Arthur Kingsley's life is about to change. How could his great life even have a hint of bitterness in it? His parents with a 20 year marriage is starting to crumbling apart, he is starting to catch on to what is happening, but he cannot understand how this all started and how it will really end for him and his family. He will have to cope with a horrible issue that is so close to him, but just out of his reach.

Speed VS Accuracy
I think accuracy is more important than speed because math most of the time is not a race and getting correct answers is more important than being faster than others.
